     Linda Sue (Taylor) Lawler Garrett of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away Tuesday November 17, 2015 in her home after a long battle with lung cancer.

      She was born September 22, 1945 in West Helena, AR. Daughter of David O Taylor and Lois (Hopper) Taylor Portrey.

      Linda attended Houston Schools and graduated in 1964. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Lawler in 1964, to this union two daughters were born, Sheri Lynn and Michelle Renae. Jimmie was in the Air Force and they were stationed in Lubbock, TX, Laredo, TX and Panama City, FL.

      In 1983 she married Lonnie Garrett, and to this union two daughters were born, Lonette Susanne and Ashley Falon, they lived on Garrett’s Dairy Farm in Big Piney, MO.

      The things she loved to do most was go to the ocean, swim, play bingo, play cards, and watch NASCAR, her guy was Jimmie Johnson.

     Linda was preceded in death by her parents, David Taylor and Lois Portrey, step father, Lester Portrey, two brothers, Jim Taylor and Don Taylor and a brother-in-law, Homer Wyatt.

      She is survived by the love of her life Jimmie Lawler of the home, four daughters, Sheri Johnson and husband Alan, Michelle McCoy and husband Jimmy, Ashley Garrett all of Mtn. Grove, MO and Lonette Nickell and husband Mike of Florissant, CO, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Wyatt of Mtn. Grove, MO, Beverly Jones of Fordland, MO, and Susie Clariday of Pensacola, FL, one brother, Billy Taylor of Cullman, AL, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda was a very nice lady to everyone she met.  I remember her as a nice, quiet, and caring person.  She will be missed.  Our prayers go out to her family.

Rowena Hicks (Moore)

I remember Linda as a fun loving person.  We spent a many of night at each others homes when we were in grade school.  Although I havn't been in touch with her as much in the past few years sad to say.  Prayers for her family.  Rowena
